FAQ

Answers to the things people actually ask before calling.

Pulled straight from the questions we get on the first phone call. If yours isn't here, send Tyler an email.

Where is Anutech Systems located?+

We're based at 1436 N Poplar Ave, Fresno, CA 93728. The shop and panel build floor are at the same address; field engineers dispatch from here daily.

Who owns the company?+

Anutech Systems is owned and operated by Tyler Wray, who founded the shop in 2013 after a decade of senior controls work for a national integrator.

What does an industrial automation integrator do?+

We design, build, program, install and support the control systems that run plants — PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, control panels, motor drives and robotic cells. We act as a single contract for the controls scope so the plant doesn't have to coordinate three vendors.

Which PLC platforms do you work on?+

Rockwell ControlLogix and CompactLogix (Studio 5000), Siemens S7-1200/1500 (TIA Portal), Schneider Modicon M340/M580, and Automation Direct Productivity / BRX.

Which SCADA / HMI platforms do you work on?+

Inductive Automation Ignition is our primary platform. We also actively develop on Rockwell FactoryTalk View SE/ME and Aveva (Wonderware) System Platform.

Do you build control panels in-house?+

Yes. Panels are designed, fabricated, wired and point-to-point tested in our Fresno shop, then shipped with documentation and photos.

Are you UL 508A?+

We build to UL 508A through our partnered fabricator's panel-shop affiliation, and label panels with SCCR.

What's your service area?+

Primary service area is Fresno, Clovis, Madera, Visalia, Hanford, Selma, Sanger, Kingsburg and Tulare. We dispatch to Merced and further on a scheduled basis.

What's the emergency response time?+

For contract clients in our primary service area (50-mile radius of Fresno), the SLA is a 2-hour on-site response on emergencies and a 30-minute callback on phone triage.

Do you offer 24/7 support?+

Yes. The on-call number rings a senior engineer in rotation. Three tiers of support contract are available depending on response time, remote VPN access and scheduled PM frequency.

Will you support equipment you didn't install?+

Almost always, yes. We do a one-day initial walk to audit the platforms and tell you up front if anything we'd touch is unsupportable in our hands.

Are you licensed and insured?+

Yes — California C-10 Electrical Contractor license in active good standing, $2M general liability, $1M auto, $1M workers' compensation. We send our certificate of insurance on request.

Do you do project work, or only retainer support?+

Both. About 60% of our revenue is project work (new panels, retrofits, robotic cells) and 40% is support contracts on previously commissioned systems.

Do you provide as-built documentation?+

Yes — every project closes with a documentation package: commented PLC source, IO list, wire list, panel layout drawing, FAT/SAT records and operator quick-references. Paper plus PDF.

Will we own the source code?+

Always. PLC programs, HMI projects and configuration files belong to you. We keep a working copy for support purposes only.

How do you price work?+

Project work is quoted as a fixed price against a written scope. Support is hourly with a monthly minimum on contract; remote phone triage is included in the contract.

Can you integrate with our MES, ERP or BI system?+

Yes. Common integrations are SAP, Plex, IQMS, Microsoft Power BI and custom systems via OPC-UA, REST or SQL.

Do you handle cybersecurity for controls networks?+

We follow ISA/IEC 62443 principles for client networks: segmentation, no default passwords, role-based access, audited remote access, tested backups. Formal IEC 62443 certification is available on enterprise engagements.

What does a site walk cost?+

Nothing for plants in our primary service area. A first visit is 45 minutes; you leave with a written summary and a budgetary number, not a sales pitch.

How quickly can a panel be built?+

Most builds land in 6–10 weeks depending on long-lead components. We tell you the gating part on the first call.

Do you employ Spanish-speaking technicians?+

Yes. Operator training and quick-reference documents are routinely produced bilingually.
